Reason For a Fundraiser
St. Mary, Jamaica, has been drastically and negatively impacted due to COVID-19. The tourism industry plunged into an economic despair and as a result, we have had to lay off 50% of our National staff. In addition, the farmers and fisherman are struggling to grow and sell their meat and produce because of drought in Jamaica and hotel closure. As a result, COVID-19 has caused suffering for families due to the loss of jobs, incomplete nutrition, and a lack of a safe and peaceful environment to learn about the Lord. The people of St. Mary, Jamaica need a place to find peace and understanding in these troubling times.
